8 Prime cattle, 12 Store cattle and 10 OTM”s were sold on Monday, when Prime cattle sold to 227p/kg for a 540kg Limousin heifer, from Stanger, South Seatter, Sandwick, which realised £1225.80 to Donaldsons of Orkney, Kirkwall.

Prime steers sold to 209p/kg for a 665kg Saler, from Groat, Cloke, Dounby, which realised £1389.85 to Williamson”s, East Road, Kirkwall.

Store steers sold to 216.3p/kg for a pen of 3 Charolais, from Holland, Kirbister, Stronsay, which scaled 430kg and realised £930
Top price per head for Store steers was £1180 for a 615kg Angus, also from Kirbister, Stronsay.
Store heifers from Kirbister sold to 196.6pkg for a 440kg Charolais which realised £865.
Also from Kirbister – Top gross price for heifers was £940 for a 505kg Angus
OTM Cows sold to 119.7p for a 710kg Angus, from Whyte, Honeysgoe, South Ronaldsay, which realised £850, which was also the top price per head.
