Breeding Cattle

Forward on Thursday were 85 Breeding Cattle.
Thursday saw the reduction sale of breeding cattle from South Seatter, Sandwick on behalf of J & R Stanger. There was was packed ringside in to purchase the well bred herd of commercial cows and heifers. Auctioneer Graham Low started the proceedings with a few words about the herd including a tribute to Gary Stanger who worked at the Mart for many years. After a minute silence, the sale started and there was a keen interest from the start.
The whole sale averaged £3197.
In Calf Heifers averaged £3210.
In Calf Cows averaged £3192.
In Calf Heifers topped at £3850 for lot 62. An Aberdeen Angus in calf to the Aberdeen Angus Bull purchased by B Baillie.
